National (Dis)Integration and Literature: A Study of Ernest Veyu’s This Poem and Other Poems, Tender Ties, and The Return: Poems, a Poem This paper analyzes Ernest Veyu's poetry collections, This Poem and Other Poems, Tender Ties, and The Return, to explore his perspective on the Anglophone crisis and national unity in Cameroon. Using New Historicism, the study examines the causes and potential solutions to the crisis as presented in Veyu's poems, highlighting the fragility of national unity and the need for action to foster peaceful coexistence.
